  • Overview

    This entry level Network Analyst's role is to support the Network Manager and Engineer to ensure the stable operation of the in-house network infrastructure. This includes assisting with planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network infrastructure, software, and communication links while ensuring minimal network downtime. This individual will also assist in diagnosing, resolving, and documenting hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The Network Analyst will also be responsible for the ordering and delivery of company provided cells phones and all documentation.

     

    Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Employer will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager with the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and maintain current knowledge of plan executable.
    • Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager in the troubleshooting and resolution of LAN/WAN performance, connectivity and related network problems
    • Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager with the Implementation of monitoring and management systems for the network
    • Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager in administration of the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services per company policies and procedures.
    • Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager in the preparation and ensure accuracy of documentation, procedures manuals, and help sheets for network installations, including data, voice, and video systems.
    • Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager in the support, development and implementation of networking projects and new technology installations.
    • Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager with maintenance of all network hardware and equipment.
    • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
    • Receive and respond to incoming calls, texts, and/or e-mails regarding network connectivity issues.
    • Work to meet service level agreements with end users.
    • Become proficient in mobile device ordering, troubleshooting, porting and documenting.
    • Other duties assigned by the Network Manager.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems or related, or 3-4 years of related experience
    • Good understanding of network and computer systems
    • Good understanding of network firewalls to include Barracuda and Cisco ASA
