  • Overview

    Purchasing Specialist will support Buyer in daily activities by ensuring the availability of third parties’ supplies and services as well as the relatrelated delivery capacity of AVL products/projects. Additional responsibilities may include: Responsible for procuring prodproducts/services within the purchasing organization by interfacing with parent company/business units/affiliates.


    Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Employer will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.


    • Execution of PO
    • Execution/follow-up of RFx
    • Processing of PO confirmations
    • Processing of urging activities
    • Administrative activities (analysis, delivery notes, archiving etc.)
    • Maintenance of master data (material, vendor master data, info records)
    • Analyze data and collaborate with requisitioning community in order to provide accurate information in a timely manner
    • Assist in fulfilling all requirements related to buying and/or selling to parent company/affiliates, including production, service and customer ordering
    • Executes buying requirements with high level of customer service orientation with internal customer (project management, engineering, finance, product management, operations, material management)
    • Works with parent company/affiliate organizations to understand changes in their procedures that will drive changes to processes in AVL NA


    • 1-5 years in Purchasing
    • Good written and oral communication skills
    • Experience in value chain analysis/negotiation
    • Bachelor Degree preferred
