  • Overview

    Sales Operations position with focus on specific product groups to supplement the efforts of the Technical Sales Support team in proposal generation. Provides overflow support to the Sales Support Representative team in solidifying files required to process orders and completion of Proposals.

    Responsibilities

    • Significant use of AVL Quote tool to support building of proposals with technical product input from the Technical Sales Support team.
    • Significant knowledge of SalesForce to be able to:
    • Maintain customer contact and account information
    • Maintain integrity of opportunities
    • Add new accounts as requested
    • Excels at generating proposals for standard products, services, service agreements and spare parts as directed by Account Managers and Technical Sales Support team members utilizing standards for:
    • Proposal Layout
    • Customer and AVL pricing requirements
    • Easily generates MSWord® documents from AVL Quote tool to finalize proposal to meet AVL quote standards with:
    • Proposal formatting standards
    • Customer proposal requirements
    • Confirmation of selling price based on product
    • Adherence to approved terms and conditions
    • Adherence product pricing mythologies
    • Easily translates customer Request for Quote requirements into finalized, approved AVL Proposal response
    • Able to input electronic RFQ response into customer system when required
    • Administration of proposal storage and support documents on AVL network and SalesForce
    • Ability to identify and clearly communicate proposal issues to Account Managers and internal teams to work toward finalized proposal meeting standards.
    • Takes ownership and clearly communicates updates of customer proposal standards to meet global contractual obligations
    • Provides overflow support to the Sales Support Representative team by:
    • Completing quote cleanup of proposals unassigned in queue
    • Reviewing customer PO’s waiting to be processed and pulling together needed items to allow for ease of processing like; PO, PO Processing Form, AVL Quote and any other supporting documents needed for processing.
    • Any other functions or tasks as requested by his/her supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • Proven, tested ability with Microsoft Office required
    • Ability to share work load in team environment
    • Ability to multi-task and take lead
    • Working knowledge of SalesForce preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated successful experience in customer support, sales or service role
    • Able to work with short deadlines. Ability to work under pressure
    • Ability to work with cross functional teams
    • Able to self-manage work load and provide support to larger team

    Excellent organization and time management skills
