The intern is a learning position, usually short-term as agreed prior to hiring.  Generally paid hourly; without benefits.  Intern should be seeking a productive, learning experience towards the degree they are earning with an understanding that service experience is varied and may not be a perfect fit with the degree which they are seeking.

• Embrace duties and assignments as determined by their department manager or the individual assigned to directly supervise them.
• Execute responsibilities as assigned, in an efficient and timely manner.
• Use skills that they learned in school to implement and assist on projects that relate to the departments objectives.
• Safely perform tasks with quality as assigned by supervisor.

• Desire to learn.
• Willingness to start ‘at the bottom’ in services to learn processes and functions of the department they are assigned too, these skills are used at the end of the term for more efficient project implementation
