  • Overview

    The Project Manager fulfills the roles of the PL-OF in the Order Fulfillment process for projects.

    As a competent promoter for the SBU, the Project Manager contributes substantially to lead customer orders to success:

    • Role model in project organization, including contribution to the development and improvement of the corporate organization

    Successful project work to support partnership with the customer (quality, customer satisfaction, deadlines, financial result):

    • Improving AVL ITS´s project organization
    • Providing feedback to Process Owners and Management

    Conducting the project to a success by using methods of modern leadership (coaching, motivation, team building).


    Representation of project to relevant environments

    Overall project responsibility towards BU as PL-OF by means of:

    • Cost, quality, on time delivery of AVL scope of supply
    • Project Management (e.g. risk- and change management, Controlling) according to the Order Fulfillment Process by applying Methods and Tools for Projects in ITS (described in ITS 30.10. process and Project Management Guidelines, doc. No. 109231)
    • Ensure compliance to the project standards / process standards
    • Technical and commercial check of contract (as PL-CP) and internal orders (as PL-OF)
    • Preparation of project status reports (PRISM) together with project team (PL-OF is part of the Project team)
    • Controlling of work packages (tasks, work progress, quality, timing, resources, costs) in the relevant area of responsibility
    • Execution of project reviews according to the Order Fulfillment Process for Projects in ITS (ITS 30.10.)
    • Organizes and conducts the collection of Lessons Learned during the project execution


    Ensures that the BA (internal order in ERP system) is complete and up to date with all necessary information for the organization (text, time, costs, prices etc.)

    • Scope of delivery and budget agreements with STL’s & PL-CP
    • Continuous update of the project planning with PL-CP
    • Carrying out project management and project monitoring (Project Review Meetings)
    • Project controlling (resources, costs, time and tasks), jointly with BU commercial/controlling
    • Initiates and approves internal design reviews


    • Supports and contributes to PL-CP as required by PL-CP and according to OF-Process
    • Leadership and coordination of project team and project participants
    • Release of order confirmation to PL-CP and releases internal order


    • Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering, operations or project management, or equivalent experience.
    • Approximately 5 years previous project management experience
